Role overview
The Accountant role covers accounting operations, compliance coordination, project costing, and reporting to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices using QuickBooks and manage audits and VAT filings with the audit team.
- Follow up weekly with contractors on pending project dues; review and reconcile bank statements with management.
- Process salaries via WPS and make employee and supplier payments.
- Coordinate with local auditing firms on insurance subscriptions and income tax submissions.
- Prepare project costing, analyze discount levels, and maintain project contracts according to their terms.
- Report financial and operational performance, problem areas, cost-reduction opportunities, and efficiency improvements to the Managing Director on monthly, weekly, and ad hoc bases.
Requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- 1–4 years of accounting experience; at least 1 year is stated as required.
- Knowledge of UAE labor law and financial regulations.
Pay
- Pay is AED 4,000–6,500 per month; the description also states a salary range of AED 4,500–6,500.
