Position summary
The Game Animator creates 2D and 3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for digital media and game experiences.
The role is accountable for all or a significant portion of an animation or scene in Unity.
Key responsibilities
- Create motion graphics and animations for digital media platforms.
- Collaborate with artists and designers on compelling 2D and 3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics.
- Prepare animations for integration into games with software engineers and technical artists.
- Optimize motion graphics for different screen sizes and resolutions.
- Communicate with game designers and development teams in an iterative process.
- Take creative projects from concept to final execution with minimal supervision.
Core skills
- Confident use of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Good knowledge of Unity and Blender.
- Exposure to Spine 2D.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of professional experience in 2D or 3D animation and/or motion graphic design.
- Gaming industry or similar experience is preferred.
- Experience with Spine2D and Unity is advantageous.
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and models.
- A related Fine Arts or Visual Communication university degree is preferred.
Physical requirements
- The role requires regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, hand use, computer operation, and close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus.
Work conditions
Because the business operates in regulated gaming and lottery markets, some employees may need gaming or other licenses, background investigations, security checks, or legally required standards.
