Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Create reliable software systems to task remote sensor payloads across hundreds of low-earth-orbit satellites and process collected information.
• Build immersive earth-observation experiences for office-based and field users.
• Take software from needs discovery and prototyping through development, testing, production rollout, and beyond.
• Build tools that improve efficiency and help create secure, reliable, autonomous software systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or another STEM discipline, or have 2+ years of professional full stack engineering experience instead.
• Have development experience in C# and TypeScript, or full stack software development experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with real-world software applications and projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of web services and networks is preferred.
• AWS or cloud-environment experience is preferred.
• Linux server, SSH, scripting, and configuration experience is preferred.
• Kubernetes or similar container orchestration experience is preferred.
• Service Workers and IndexedDB experience is preferred.
• PostgreSQL or high-performance database implementation experience is preferred.
• Image data processing and machine learning experience is preferred.
• Graphics-intensive web application development experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or obtain required State Department authorizations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range is $125,000 to $150,000 for Level 1 and $145,000 to $175,000 for Level 2.
• Actual level and base salary depend on job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience.
• Benefits may include long-term incentives, medical coverage, retirement plan, insurance, parental leave, vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
