  • EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or business technology required. Applicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experience that indicate potential for success in this role. WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record of delivering custom applications. TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION Frontend Development Production experience with React.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive/accessible UI (HTML5, CSS3); familiarity with frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Backend Development Experience building APIs and services with C# / ASP.NET Core (Node.js a plus), RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT authentication, and ORM tools (Entity Framework Core or Dapper).
  • Database & Data Management Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization) and experience with Azure SQL or similar managed databases.
  • Architecture & Engineering Practices Understanding microservices/SOA architecture, Git workflows, Agile/Scrum delivery, and multi-environment management.
  • Certifications No certifications required; the following are preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or AWS Certified Developer. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), EDI transactions (837, 835), or Medicare/Medicaid billing systems is also a plus. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES None. Reports to and works under the direction of the Senior Engineer and the Director. WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT Apply independent judgment to solve complex technical challenges spanning custom application development, system integrations, and business process automation. BUDGET AUTHORITY None. PROBLEM SOLVING Diagnoses and resolves complex issues involving application performance, cloud deployments, AI/ML integrations, and system interoperability. Designs innovative solutions using modern frameworks, cloud-native services, and intelligent systems to drive efficiency and improve the user experience. IMPACT OF DECISIONS Contributes directly to departmental productivity, data accuracy, and process efficiency across multiple business units. Technical decisions shape application scalability, security, and long-term maintainability. COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS Interacts with UX Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Testers, department stakeholders, and IT leadership. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS Establishes credibility and trust by delivering innovative, user-friendly applications that address real business needs. WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Primarily office-based work. May require extended hours during deployments, system integrations, or critical project milestones, along with remote collaboration and the use of ticketing systems.

Partner with designers and product managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Build responsive, accessible user interfaces that deliver consistent, high-quality experience across browsers and devices. Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend services that support scalable, reliable application functionality. Design, implement, and optimize relational database structures to support application performance and data integrity. Manage source code and collaborate with the team throughout the development lifecycle, following established version control and branching practices. Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure (AWS experience a plus), including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Contribute to Agile delivery by actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Write and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to ensure application quality and reliability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to application performance, integrations, and system interoperability. Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation to support long-term maintainability.
