Full Stack Lead Engineer, Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Write code to deliver application features and support larger program efforts.
• Design, build, test, and implement secure, stable, testable, and maintainable applications.
• Contribute to application solution design, feasibility studies, estimates, and implementation activities.
• Support digital applications development, risk technology, analytic model development, and application support.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend programming solutions for customer-facing systems.
• Understand systems, runtime operations, maintenance, business context, and customer use cases.
• Participate in architecture, solution, and design discussions and document application systems.
• Contribute to schedules, feature prioritization, technical dependency management, and scrum-team consensus.
• Improve development processes to accelerate delivery, lower costs, and improve quality.
• Assess technology and compliance risks while protecting the firm, clients, and assets.

Qualifications

• Strong application development or systems analysis experience is required.
• Experience programming software applications and implementing successful projects is required.
• Experience building robust, scalable, and maintainable financial-services applications is required.
• Experience working across all layers of the application stack during implementation is required.
• Candidates should be proactive, independent, analytical, and able to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Experience in financial services or a large, complex, global environment is required.
• A bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience, is required.

Technical skills

• Required full-stack technologies include React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java or another JVM language, and microservices.
• Required frameworks and development skills include API development, Spring, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, and troubleshooting.
• Required testing skills include test-driven development with Jest, Cypress, JavaScript, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Required infrastructure and deployment technologies include OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Tekton, uDeploy, Harness, NPM, Maven, and Gradle.
• SQL databases are required; MongoDB and Oracle are preferred.
• AWS or GCP, observability and monitoring, Gen AI productivity tools, Python, and middleware such as Kafka are advantageous.
