Full-Stack Engineer & Systems Administrator

About The Role

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Migrate all applications off Replit onto proper VPS infrastructure
• Set up and maintain Postgres databases, Redis instances, Nginx reverse proxies, SSL certificates, and DNS configurations
• Configure automated deployments from GitHub (CI/CD pipelines)
• Manage domain routing for all properties across the portfolio
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and automated backups for all production databases
• Resolve the WebSocket bridge cycling issue caused by Replit’s proxy limitations

Development & Implementation

• Implement features and fixes designed by the founder — from architecture specs to working code
• Maintain and extend a TypeScript/Node.js full-stack codebase (Express, React, Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL)
• Work with Python services (FastAPI, pandas, scikit-learn) for the Precursor engine
• Debug production issues across live trading systems where errors cost real money
• Refactor shared platform components (Trade Desk, storage layer, P&L calculations)

Systems Administration

• Be the single point of accountability for uptime across all applications
• Handle production incidents — including outside regular hours when live trading is affected
• Manage API keys, secrets, environment variables, and access controls securely
• Coordinate with third-party APIs (Binance, LunarCrush, Santiment, LLM providers)
• Keep the founder’s development workflow intact — he must be able to review and edit code without touching servers

Required Skills

• **Strong:**
• TypeScript and Node.js — this is the primary stack across all applications
• **Strong:**
• PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, query optimisation, backups
• **Strong:**
• Linux server administration — VPS setup, Nginx, PM2, systemd, firewall configuration
• **Strong:**
• Git and GitHub — branching, PRs, automated deployments
• **Competent:**
• WebSocket architecture — persistent connections, reconnection logic, proxy configuration
• **Competent:**
• React frontend — dashboard UIs, data visualisation, API integration
• **Competent:**
• Docker basics — containerisation for services that require it

Preferred Skills

• Python (FastAPI, pandas, scikit-learn) for the Precursor prediction engine
• Experience with crypto exchange APIs (Binance spot, futures, WebSocket streams)
• Experience with real-time financial systems or trading platforms
• Familiarity with AI/LLM integration (Anthropic API, OpenAI API)
• Experience with Cloudflare, Let’s Encrypt, DNS management
• Arabic language ability (useful but not required)
