Role overview

Build backend services and frontend features for a live, multi-tenant B2B SaaS platform serving UK private healthcare.

The platform connects clinics, prescribers, and pharmacies and supports prescribing, dispensing, and treatment delivery.

The role is currently remote, with an Ahmedabad office and hybrid working planned; the engineer must be able to work from Ahmedabad when the office opens.

The posting gives a salary range of ₹10–17 LPA, depending on experience and demonstrated capability.

What you will build

  • Develop Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript backend services, including REST APIs, business logic, validation, and integrations.
  • Build and maintain React.js product features for complex user journeys and operational workflows.
  • Implement multi-tenant data access and isolation, roles, permissions, and customer-specific configuration.
  • Develop connected approval, order, payment, and inventory workflows, handling state changes, exceptions, and failures.
  • Work with data models, background jobs, and asynchronous processing; write tests, review code, and support releases and fixes.

Experience and capabilities

  • Typically 3–5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of production Node.js and 2 years each of NestJS, TypeScript, and React.js.
  • Hands-on backend development on a B2B SaaS product or multi-tenant platform serving multiple business customers.
  • Experience implementing multi-tenancy through tenant-specific data access, permissions, or configuration.
  • Experience building backend logic for workflows with multiple steps, rules, and exceptions.
  • Ability to understand existing code, trace change impacts across connected functionality, and explain implementation decisions.
  • Clear communication and responsibility for testing, releasing, and improving delivered work.

AI engineering and additional experience

  • Regularly use AI coding tools for codebase understanding, implementation planning, coding, refactoring, test generation, and debugging; review suggestions and verify results.
  • Useful additional experience includes SQL or NoSQL databases, API integrations, queues, event-driven systems, automated testing, Docker, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, GCP, or AWS.
  • Enterprise SaaS, workflow automation, healthcare software, inventory management, payments, logistics, ERP, and CRM experience are relevant; healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

About the product and team

Script Assist's platform supports tens of thousands of prescriptions each month across UK private healthcare.

The engineer will contribute to production features and connected processes including clinical approvals, patient records, orders, payments, inventory, dispensing, and fulfilment.

The company describes the work as an opportunity to build ownership of the product and understand the impact of engineering decisions on customers.
