The role
AI-first full stack engineer building and owning features end to end across PHP and Node.js APIs, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, and React front ends.
Backend and API engineering are central to the work, in a small team with high ownership and few handoffs.
Location and schedule
- On-site in the Dubai office five days per week.
- Full-time role.
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain secure, documented PHP and Node.js REST APIs for apps and integrations.
- Model data, write efficient MySQL and PostgreSQL queries, and handle schema changes and performance tuning.
- Build responsive React front ends.
- Take features from idea to production, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Use AI coding agents and assistants, reviewing and testing all generated work.
- Evaluate AI developer tooling and apply useful tools to team workflows.
- Work with product, customers, and the wider team to solve problems.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years as an employed software engineer building production web applications, excluding internships and study.
- Strong PHP and Node.js backend engineering and production API development experience.
- Professional MySQL, PostgreSQL, and React experience.
- Daily AI coding tool use and evidence of productivity gains.
- Good Git, code review, and automated testing habits.
- Clear, professional spoken and written English.
- Enjoy a startup environment with high ownership and few handoffs.
Nice to have
- TypeScript.
- Docker and deployment to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- LLM API product integrations.
- Automotive, marketplace, or pricing data experience.
