Full Stack Developer - Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance Java 17+ backend services and responsive React features.
• Design and review scalable, performant, reliable application architecture.
• Independently drive critical work streams, set direction, and oversee measurable delivery.
• Establish coding and design standards across front-end and backend development.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, Front Office, and external market regulators on capital reporting projects.
• Mentor engineers across experience levels and collaborate across teams to deliver software meeting client needs.

Required qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• Degree in a STEM- or Finance-related discipline.
• Enterprise backend experience with Java 17+, NoSQL, and Spring; front-end experience with React.
• Experience with relational and document databases, data structures, caching, reporting systems, and large complex codebases.
• Experience managing or mentoring engineers, including teams across multiple time zones.
• RESTful services experience using Java, Spring Boot, JSON, SQL, and modern build tools.
• Experience designing event-driven microservices following 12-factor standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration tools such as Tekton or Harness.

Beneficial qualifications

• Financial-industry experience, particularly Credit Risk or Market Risk Capital.
• Enterprise cloud deployment experience, including AWS, and distributed caching such as Apache Ignite or Redis.
• Big data experience with Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Presto, Starburst, Spark, or Kafka.
• Spring Framework and cloud computing for batch and real-time high-volume data processing; complex SQL and database design experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
