Full Stack Developer - Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance backend services using Java 17 and above.
• Develop responsive React features for internal stakeholders.
• Design and review architecture for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Drive critical work streams independently and oversee delivery toward measurable outcomes.
• Establish coding and design standards across frontend and backend development.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, Front Office, and external regulators on capital reporting projects.
• Mentor engineers across experience levels and collaborate across teams to deliver client-focused software.

Required qualifications and skills

• 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• A degree in a STEM- or Finance-related discipline.
• Enterprise backend experience using Java 17 or higher, NoSQL, and Spring; frontend experience using React.
• Experience with relational and document databases, data structures, caching, reporting systems, and complex codebases.
• Experience managing or mentoring engineers, including teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience building RESTful services using Java, Spring Boot, JSON, SQL, and modern build tools.
• Experience designing event-driven microservices using 12-factor app standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration tools such as Tekton or Harness.

Beneficial qualifications

• Financial-industry experience, particularly in Credit Risk or Market Risk Capital, is beneficial.
• Cloud deployment experience, including AWS; distributed caching such as Apache Ignite or Redis; and big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Presto, Starburst, Spark, or Kafka are beneficial.
• Experience with Spring and cloud computing for high-volume batch and real-time data processing, and SQL interpretation or data modeling, is beneficial.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is beneficial.
