• Purchasing & Sourcing
Identify and establish relationships with suppliers locally and internationally.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Ensure the quality and freshness of fruits and vegetables during procurement.
• Sales & Business Development
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Identify new sales opportunities and expand the customer base.
Negotiate deals, finalize contracts, and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Logistics & Transportation
Coordinate transportation and ensure proper handling to maintain product quality.
Understand optimal storage conditions for different fruits and vegetables.
Monitor supply chain operations to minimize delays and losses.
• Market Knowledge & Analysis
- Stay updated on market trends, seasonal availability, and price fluctuations.
- Understand different types, grades, and varieties of fruits and vegetables.
- Analyze market demand to forecast inventory needs.
- Profit Management:
- Monitor profit margins and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Prepare regular profit and sales reports for management review.
• Compliance & Quality Control
Adhere to local regulations and standards for fruit and vegetable trading.
Ensure all products meet quality and freshness standards during procurement and sale.
Experience
Proven experience in fruit and vegetable trading or a related field.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of fruit and vegetable types, grades, shelf life, and handling requirements.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and customers.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, forecast demand, and manage inventory.
Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel for supplier visits and market research.
Compensation
Monthly Salary: 10,000-12,000 AED - depending on experience
Commission: 10% of profit from sales
