Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Set strategy and oversee resources, budgets, planning, and results.

Experience and qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive front-end engineering experience, including at least 5 years in architecture leadership or a principal engineer role.
• Experience defining architecture for distributed enterprise applications with 50,000+ users and scaling design systems across business units or product lines.
• Expert React 18+, TypeScript, and JavaScript ES2022+ proficiency; deep knowledge of micro-frontends, rendering patterns, and client-side optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Distributed-team experience, including offshore partners; regulated-industry experience strongly preferred and banking/finance experience preferable.
• Leadership, project management, communication, problem-solving, and ability to influence across matrixed organizations.

Technical skills

• Web platform, CSS, SVG/Canvas, state management, GraphQL/REST, design tokens, component libraries, and front-end performance engineering.
• Node.js toolchains, monorepos, and CI/CD; security knowledge including CSP, CORS, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and OWASP front-end risks.
• Architecture documentation; end-to-end solutions involving Java, databases, cloud, and web technologies; Agile and waterfall.
• AI methods include chunking, embedding, AI engineering, and prompt engineering; experience with Elasticsearch and OpenShift.

Compensation
