Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Front End Developer to design and build intuitive, responsive, and high-performing user experiences.
The role owns features from user and business needs through technical design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement.
The role involves collaboration with developers, product colleagues, designers, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and documented components and integrate them with REST APIs and C#/.NET services.
- Make architectural decisions and communicate technical options and trade-offs.
- Champion accessibility, performance, security, usability, and code quality.
- Write automated tests, diagnose technical issues, review code, and mentor less-experienced developers.
- Improve development standards, tools, delivery processes, front-end architecture, and engineering practices.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least five years of relevant commercial software development experience.
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript including ES6+, HTML5, CSS, REST APIs, responsive applications, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience with testing, debugging, code review, Git or an equivalent version-control system, C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- The posting also requires enterprise-level C# backend services, NLP experience, and strong SQL and relational database design experience.
Desirable Experience
- Material UI, Entity Framework, Highcharts or another data-visualization library, Vite, Jest, IIS, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, and CI/CD pipelines are beneficial.
- Enterprise or regulated software environments, complex datasets, dashboards, analytical workflows, financial datasets, and financial regulations are preferred.
- Agile practices and the ability to explain technical subjects clearly to technical and non-technical audiences are valued.

Compensation
- Pay is £55,000 to £70,000 per year.
