Responsibilities

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by welcoming guests and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently in accordance with established hotel procedures.
  • Process guest payments and maintain compliance with all cash-handling, credit, and payment policies and procedures.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, address complaints, and resolve concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide guests with accurate information regarding hotel services, local attractions, activities, and points of interest.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to the appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping to identify and resolve discrepancies on the room status report.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all hotel, Shaner, and franchise standards and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Basic computer skills; previous computer system experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities, attractions, and points of interest appropriate for the hotel's clientele.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
