As our Freight Specialist, you will play pivotal role in our logistics operations.
You will manage end-to-end international and domestic freight movements, negotiate rates, ensure customs compliance, and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and carriers.
Your goal will be to minimize transit times and costs while maintaining top-tier service.
Key Responsibilities
- **Shipment Management:** Coordinate and monitor international and domestic shipments) from origin to final destination.
- **Freight Booking & Documentation:** Handle all booking requests and accurately prepare/review critical shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin).
- **Cost & Rate Negotiation:** Secure competitive freight rates and contract terms with carriers and freight forwarders; audit freight invoices for accuracy.
- **Customs & Compliance:** Ensure all shipments comply with local and international maritime, customs, and trade regulations (including Incoterms).
- **Issue Resolution:** Proactively track shipments, identify potential delays, and swiftly resolve transit issues or customs hold-ups.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with the Trading, Sales, and Finance teams to provide accurate freight quotes, ETAs, and logistics updates.
What We Are Looking For
- **Experience:** 5-10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management—ideally within a global trading environment.
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- **Expertise:** Deep understanding of **Incoterms**, ocean freight operations, and customs clearance procedures.
- **Soft Skills:** Exceptional negotiation skills, a high level of problem-solving agility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- **Languages:** Fluency in English is required;
