Freelance UI/UX designer role focused on interfaces for experiential installations, event technology, and mobile companions.
Engagement timeframe is November through January, a three-month period.
What you will do
- Design interfaces for touchscreens, kiosks, portrait and ultra-wide displays, multi-screen setups, and mobile companions.
- Take briefs from the Creative Designer Lead, work under the Creative Director, and hand off finished Figma files to developers.
- Create flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens, prototypes, and small design systems for projects with short delivery timelines.
- Join Dubai test days before installations and check designs in the intended physical environment.
- Bring UI concepts to pitches when competing for work.
What you bring
- At least 4 years of UI/UX experience and a portfolio of shipped products.
- Portfolio must include at least one product on a non-standard screen, such as a kiosk, touch table, LED, TV, in-car display, or wearable.
- Expert Figma skills, including components, variables, auto layout, and prototyping.
- Clean handoff practices covering every state and edge case, named layers, and exported assets.
- Ability to show motion and screen behavior, not only static designs.
- Arabic or RTL layout experience is a strong plus; Unity, TouchDesigner, or another real-time engine experience is also a plus.
Engagement and work arrangement
- Freelance and project-based, with a possible retainer after a successful project.
- Dubai-based candidates are preferred; remote work is possible with Gulf-hours overlap and availability for key Dubai test days.
- Candidates invoice the agency and need a freelance permit, their own licence, or an overseas entity.
