Role Description
This is a temporary, remote Freelance Translator role, focused on translating content from Turkish to English.
The translator will work with education-related document.
Daily tasks include reviewing and understanding source materials, translating and short anlysys.
The role also involves collaborating with researchers and project lead to clarify meaning, maintain consistency across documents, and meet agreed deadlines.
The position requires reliable availability, secure handling of project materials, and clear communication via digital collaboration tools.
Qualifications
- High-level proficiency in Turkish (source language) and near-native or native proficiency in English (target language).
- Experience in writing intelligence and research reports, with the ability to filter information effectively
- (an advantage).
- Background knowledge and familiarity with Turkey’s history, politics, and society, including experience working with Turkish-language sources (an advantage).
- Ability to distinguish between key information and irrelevant details
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with initiative and creative thinking
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
