Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Freelance Restaurant Operations Consultant role based in Abu Dhabi.

The consultant will oversee and optimize daily food and beverage operations within Chapter Cafe, focusing on service standards, guest experience, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include assessing existing processes, identifying gaps, and designing practical solutions for workflow, staffing, inventory, costing, and quality control.

The role will collaborate with management and on-ground teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures, training guidelines, and performance metrics.

The consultant will regularly review financial and operational data, propose improvements, and support Ribbonaira in aligning cafe operations with the brand’s luxury positioning.

Qualifications

  • Strong Operations Management skills, including experience with restaurant or cafe workflows, SOPs, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Proven Consulting capabilities, with experience diagnosing operational issues, recommending solutions, and managing implementation in hospitality or food and beverage environments.
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, training staff, and presenting findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial reports, operational KPIs, and customer feedback to guide data-informed decisions.
  • Customer Service expertise, with a focus on guest satisfaction, service recovery, and consistent delivery of premium experiences.
  • Previous experience in restaurant, cafe, or hospitality operations at supervisor, manager, or consultant level.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility to adapt to peak business hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
  • Comfort working in a freelance/consulting capacity, including setting clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Relevant education in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, reservation tools, and basic MS Office or similar productivity software.
