Freelance Project Planner (Fit-Out Projects)

Job Type: Freelance / Contract
Location: Dubai, UAE (Remote / Site Visits as Required)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Freelance Project Planner with proven experience in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible not only for scheduling and coordination but also forcash flow forecasting and manpower planningto ensure efficient project execution and financial control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules for fit-out works
  • Prepare baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and progress tracking reports
  • Perform cash flow forecasting aligned with project timelines and milestones
  • Plan and allocate manpower requirements based on project phases and workload
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and site teams
  • Track material procurement, deliveries, and subcontractor progress
  • Identify delays, risks, and propose recovery plans
  • Conduct critical path analysis and resource optimization
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress, manpower, and financial reports
  • Ensure alignment between design, procurement, and execution stages

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner in interior fit-out / construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cash flow planning, and manpower forecasting
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Advanced skills in Excel for cost tracking and reporting
  • Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and project specifications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience working on UAE fit-out projects
  • Knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus

Scope of Work

  • Project-based freelance engagement
  • Flexible working hours with occasional site visits in Dubai
  • Coordination with internal teams and subcontractors
