Freelance Presentation Designer

Role purpose

Storytelling and deck design

• Translate briefs, strategy documents, notes, and creative ideas into clear narratives and logical deck structures.
• Edit and simplify content so each slide carries one clear message; recommend restructuring, visualization, or cuts to strengthen the argument.
• Design pitches, proposals, credentials, capability presentations, campaign and experiential concepts, event treatments, show flows, and spatial and journey presentations.
• Create clean layouts, typographic hierarchy, imagery, icons, diagrams, process flows, timelines, and frameworks; follow client and sweetwater brand guidelines.
• Create leave-behind and PDF deck versions for client circulation.

Data and presentation systems

• Turn numbers, research, budgets, and results into accurate, clearly labeled charts, tables, infographics, and case-study slides.
• Build and maintain master templates, reusable slide systems, layouts, and asset libraries in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
• Add appropriate transitions and simple animations; embed video, GIFs, and motion content, and prepare interactive versions where appropriate.

Collaboration and delivery

• Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, strategists, client servicing, and creative leads; participate in reviews and respond to feedback.
• Manage amendments and version control, and flag unclear messages, content gaps, or missing assets early.
• Deliver PPTX, KEY, PDF, or Google Slides files optimized for screen ratios and print where needed; check spelling, alignment, consistency, links, fonts, and image resolution.
• Organize and hand over working files, fonts, and assets at project completion.
• Manage deadlines, review cycles, dependencies, and multiple projects; communicate progress and risks and work within agreed freelance scopes and deliverables.

Experience and portfolio

• Minimum 4–7 years of professional design experience, with a strong focus on presentation and pitch design.
• A strong portfolio showing pitch decks, proposals, concept presentations, and data-led slides; before-and-after examples are highly valued.
• Proven ability to turn rough content into a clear, persuasive story and deliver to tight pitch deadlines with high creative standards.
• Agency experience in advertising, experiential, events, branding, consulting, or integrated creative work is preferred.
• Experience with regional or international brands is preferred.

Technical proficiency

• Expert Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including slide masters, templates, animation, and file optimization.
• Strong working knowledge of Apple Keynote and Google Slides; strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Figma experience is listed; ability to build clear charts, tables, infographics, and diagrams is required.
• Basic After Effects or presentation motion skills are an advantage; AI-assisted design tools are an advantage.
• Understanding of LED screen and event presentation formats is beneficial.

Communication and success

• Excellent attention to detail and strong written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Success means quickly understanding the brief and audience, shaping a clear narrative, collaborating effectively, and delivering polished work on time.
• The intended outcomes are decks that win pitches, earn client approvals, and raise the standard of the agency's presentations.
