Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 7+ years of experience building and supporting FP&A systems on the Oracle Hyperion / EPM suite, with at least 3 years hands-on in EPBCS or EPM Cloud Planning. • Demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML or generative AI solutions for finance (e.g., Oracle IPM Insights, Python, or LLM-based tools), from use-case definition through user adoption. • Strong command of Essbase (BSO/ASO), calculation scripts, business rules, and Groovy scripting. • Proven experience with data integration, metadata management, user security, and process automation, including scripting (PowerShell, Python, or batch). • Experience building automated reporting solutions (e.g., Oracle Financial Reports or Narrative Reporting, Power BI, or scheduled Smart View reporting). • Expert-level Smart View and Excel skills (lookups, pivots, advanced formulas, template design). • Solid understanding of corporate and business-unit planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical topics to finance users. • Detail-oriented and self-directed; able to manage multiple priorities and hit deadlines with minimal supervision. • Experience mentoring or supervising analysts or developers; formal people-management experience is a plus. • Experience with other Oracle EPM modules (e.g., Narrative Reporting, FCC, Account Reconciliation, PCM) or a Hyperion-to-cloud migration is a plus.
  • How Success Is Measured • Platform reliability: daily loads complete on time, exceptions are resolved within one business day, and there is no unplanned downtime during close or forecast windows. • Data integrity: plan, forecast, and actuals reconcile to source systems every cycle with no unexplained material variances. • Cycle efficiency: budget and forecast cycles get shorter year over year through automation and fewer manual handoffs. • AI impact: at least one AI use case, such as predictive forecasting or automated variance commentary, is in production and actively used by FP&A within the first 12 months. • Cash flow forecasting: a cash flow forecast in EPM Cloud that FP&A relies on, with accuracy tracked against actuals. • Reporting automation: recurring management reports go out on schedule without manual preparation, and hours saved are tracked. • Business partnership: FP&A and Business Unit Finance teams treat the platform as a trusted source of insight, as shown by adoption and user feedback.
