  • Own key elements of Group budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly reforecasting across business units and international operations.
  • Develop and improve Excel-based integrated models covering revenue, profitability, costs, headcount, and operational measures.
  • Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying timing, structural, and commercial drivers of variances.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analysis for planning, investment decisions, and risks and opportunities.
  • Challenge forecast assumptions with stakeholders and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of planning processes.

Power BI and reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Group Power BI reporting capabilities and dashboards for financial performance, commercial KPIs, business units, and forward indicators.
  • Use Power Query, data modelling, and DAX to build reliable, scalable reporting solutions and consistent data models.
  • Create clear visualisations that help senior stakeholders identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Improve links between Excel models and Power BI or other reporting tools, validate outputs, and maintain data integrity.

Commercial analysis and partnering

  • Work with business-unit leaders, operational teams, and senior management to support commercial decision-making.
  • Analyse revenue and profitability drivers, including utilisation, charge-out rates, headcount, grade mix, project delivery, work winning, backlog, and pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities across revenue growth, utilisation, pricing, cost management, and operational efficiency.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively, explain performance drivers, and translate analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships and act as a credible, approachable finance partner.

Strategic finance

  • Support financial and commercial reporting for the Executive Team, CFO, and Board.

Candidate requirements

  • Commercially minded and technically capable, with strong Excel-based financial modelling and practical Power BI development skills.
  • Able to understand business performance, challenge assumptions, and communicate complex financial information as useful insights and recommendations.
  • Able to partner with stakeholders and support development of a Junior Analyst.
