About Lazer

Lazer is a digital product studio with engineers and designers and experience building products from launch through growth.

The company serves startups, venture studios, retail brands, and enterprise clients.

Lazer describes itself as remote-first and headquartered in Toronto, with employees worldwide.

Who you are

  • Consulting-trained with a technical lean; at least 3 years in client-facing consulting, strategy, product, or project management, owning projects end to end.
  • Technology, data, or AI practice experience at an MBB, Big Four, or equivalent firm is ideal; forward-deployed or AI startup experience is a strong plus.
  • Use LLMs, agents, and AI workflow tools in daily work and understand where they are effective and where they fail.
  • Explain AI concepts to executives, skeptical end users, and engineers, and help people change how they work.
  • Structure ambiguous problems, reconcile stakeholder needs, and communicate recommendations in writing and presentations.
  • Build rapport with clients and advise stakeholders at different levels; account expansion experience is helpful but not required.
  • Understand software, integrations, and data well enough to ask informed questions and translate between technical and customer teams; coding is not required.
  • Comfortably create structure and move forward on first-of-a-kind problems without a complete specification.

What you will do

  • Embed with enterprise customers on behalf of AI companies and own the path from signed contract to measurable value.
  • Lead discovery, map organizations, identify valuable AI use cases, and define success.
  • Translate customer requests into clear, prioritized engineering requirements with business context.
  • Create project plans, manage timelines, dependencies, and risks, and keep leaders aligned through summaries, presentations, and roadmaps.
  • Run workshops, office hours, and hands-on sessions that help non-technical teams build AI workflows; coach them on delegation, task breakdown, and output review.
  • Build role-specific curricula, guides, and playbooks; track usage and outcomes and surface adoption blockers.
  • Turn early wins into broader rollouts and new scope, and share field insights with partner product teams and Lazer.

Nice to have

  • Ability to read code or build simple prototypes, automations, or integrations.
  • Experience at an AI company or deploying enterprise AI products at scale, such as assistants, agent builders, enterprise search, or copilots.
  • Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, or similar tools in a work setting.
  • Software-company product management experience.
  • Background in enablement, instructional design, or change management for large, mixed-skill audiences.
  • Familiarity with advanced AI concepts such as RAG.

Workplace

  • The company describes itself as remote-first, with employees worldwide.
