Role overview
Full-time hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for partial work from home.
The engineer designs, implements, and deploys Voice AI solutions for lending and financial services clients using the Cruq AI platform.
Responsibilities
- Work with lending clients and product teams to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutions.
- Build and integrate backend services and APIs, and configure agents for voice-based loan applications, eligibility checks, and customer support.
- Adapt and optimize Voice AI components; ensure secure and compliant handling of financial data.
- Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve solutions based on user feedback.
- Develop reusable modules and contribute deployment best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong computer science foundation, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Software development experience and proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Backend development skills including REST APIs, service integration, and databases.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable, maintainable system design.
- Comfort working directly with clients, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Preferred experience
- Cloud or container deployment experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI/ML or conversational and Voice AI systems, particularly in financial services or lending, is a plus.
