This deliberately hybrid role combines development of a reusable intelligent automation platform with deployment and integration in client environments.
The engineer will build platform capabilities, apply them to client needs, lead technical conversations, and support client adoption through training and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of a production-ready platform combining deterministic workflow orchestration, RPA, agentic AI workflows, RAG, and OCR/document extraction.
- Build and maintain integrations with modern APIs, SAP Concur, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, and legacy desktop applications.
- Own technical delivery for client implementations, map client processes to the platform, and act as the technical lead.
- Train client teams, run workshops, and help them build the skills to operate and extend implemented solutions.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a hybrid technical and client-facing role, building solutions and implementing, explaining, or troubleshooting them with clients.
- Hands-on LLM and AI agent experience, including prompt engineering, tool/function calling, multi-step agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and structured outputs.
- At least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including React frontend and Python and PostgreSQL backend experience.
- Experience managing projects, scoping work, sequencing delivery, and keeping client engagements on track end to end.
- Strong communication skills, including leading workshops, presenting technical decisions, and training non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred experience
- RPA experience is preferred, ideally Python-based RPA rather than point-and-click tools such as UiPath.
- Finance, accounting, or insurance domain knowledge is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Temporal or a similar workflow orchestration engine is a plus.
- UX skills for designing usable interfaces for non-technical users are valued.
- Familiarity with LLM observability and evaluation, including tracing, latency/cost budgets, prompt versioning, and model routing, is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless deployment is a plus.
