Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade cloud-native applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agent-based workflows.
• Work with customer project teams to understand business processes, technical landscapes, and operational challenges.
• Translate business needs into robust architectures balancing speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
• Prototype and productionize solutions in customer environments, adapting reference architectures to enterprise constraints.
• Own delivery through deployment, observability, production operations, and handover.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering, evaluation frameworks, and architectural guardrails; manage risks, milestones, and technical escalations.
• Communicate approaches, trade-offs, and progress with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute engineering standards, best practices, and reusable components.

What you bring

• Extensive hands-on software and application engineering experience in cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments; knowledge of scalability, security, and reliability.
• Proven AI-native application delivery using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agentic systems.
• Strong proficiency in AI/ML Python libraries and frameworks; exposure to data pipelines and MLOps.
• Ability to integrate agentic AI responsibly into complex business processes and own solutions through production operations.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication; exposure to design thinking.
• Ability to mentor teams, establish development guardrails and best practices, and contribute to engineering culture.
• Technical leadership, accountability, and a learning mindset in high-impact, ambiguous settings.

Advantageous experience

• Experience with SAP AI Core, Vectorization, Joule Studio, RPT-1, or Business Data Cloud is a strong advantage.
