Overview
Gemlane is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented **Forensic Accountant** to join our growing team in Doha.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong investigative skills who can uncover financial discrepancies, support compliance initiatives, and provide expert financial analysis in sensitive and high-stakes matters.
You will work closely with legal, compliance, audit, and executive teams to detect fraud, investigate financial irregularities, and strengthen internal controls across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic investigations involving financial fraud, embezzlement, asset misappropriation, and regulatory violations
- Analyze complex financial records, transactions, and accounting systems to identify anomalies or suspicious activity
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and present findings to management and legal stakeholders
- Support litigation processes through financial analysis and expert documentation
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to improve risk management and fraud prevention controls
- Perform data analytics and forensic accounting procedures using modern financial tools and software
- Assist with due diligence reviews, compliance audits, and corporate investigations
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout all investigations and reporting activities
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, ACCA, CFE, or equivalent professional certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in forensic accounting, audit, investigations, or financial compliance
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, auditing standards, and financial regulations
- Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Experience with forensic accounting software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools
- Strong report-writing and communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information professionally
