****Foreman – Chiller Maintenance****
Responsible for supervising and executing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, including associated pumps, cooling towers, expansion tanks, piping networks, and control systems.
Leads and coordinates a team of HVAC technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of maintenance activities in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and site HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Planning and supervising routine preventive maintenance (PM) of chillers and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults.
- Monitoring system performance parameters such as suction/discharge pressure, superheat, subcooling, oil levels, and temperature differentials.
- Carrying out compressor overhauling, including dismantling, inspection of internal components (valves, pistons, bearings, shafts), replacement of worn parts, reassembly, alignment, vacuuming, oil charging, and recommissioning.
- Supervising refrigerant recovery, leak detection, pressure testing, and gas charging.
- Coordinating chiller shutdowns and startups with minimal operational disruption.
- Ensuring proper documentation of service reports, maintenance logs, and spare part consumption.
- Maintaining safety compliance, permit-to-work procedures, and toolbox talks for the team.
- Ensures optimal chiller efficiency, reduced downtime, and extended equipment life through proactive maintenance and effective team supervision
