Role overview

Create item-location demand forecasts that guide supply-chain stock ordering and replenishment.

Use forecasting insights and exception modelling to inform planning across Commercial, Supply Chain and Distribution.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse complex data and optimise enterprise planning tools to improve forecast accuracy and reduce manual overrides.
  • Represent forecasting in S&OP forums and align commercial, supply-chain and distribution plans.
  • Translate technical data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build forecasting models for changing trading conditions and seasonal events, balancing availability and wastage.
  • Use internal and external data sources, including weather and local events, to refine forecasts.
  • Automate workflow bottlenecks, cleanse data and create best-practice guides.
  • Mentor partners in data literacy and ensure compliance with GDPR and GSCOP.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven item-location demand forecasting experience in retail, FMCG or a complex supply-chain environment.
  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise demand-planning systems and data querying or visualisation tools such as Luminate Demand Edge, Tableau, Snowflake or SQL.
  • Ability to analyse large datasets, identify anomalies, cleanse data and build scenario models.
  • Experience supporting S&OP processes to align commercial demand with operational execution.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to explain complex insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in cross-functional agile teams or Pods with Commercial and Supply Chain partners is desirable.
  • Experience automating workflows, writing SOPs and reducing manual overrides is desirable.

Pay

  • Salary is stated as up to £50,000, depending on experience.
  • Time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 attracts a night premium of £5.25 per hour.

Schedule

  • Some weekend on-call work is expected on a rota basis.

Working arrangement

  • Permanent role based at Bracknell Head Office with a hybrid arrangement between office and home.
  • The team aims for around three office days a week, currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with additional office attendance for key meetings.
