Folder/Gluer Operator (12 hour shift)

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• ​​ Responsible for the overall operation of the folder/gluer machine.
• ​ Responsible for the output, quantity and quality of the product being produced.
• ​ Conduct and manage efficient set-ups.
• ​ Read and understand work orders, including special instructions.
• ​ Enter a Safety, Maintenance, Quality, and/or Planning request as needed.
• ​ Performs needed scanning and correct product labeling based on the production order.
• ​ Take the lead in solving problems and work with support staff in providing solutions.
• ​ Communicate deviations from the job specifications to a supervisor/manager.
• ​ Responsible for machinery cleaning, operator preventative maintenance of equipment.
• ​ Make suggestions to improve efficiency and ensure the folder/gluer runs at optimum speeds.
• ​ Monitor quality of finished goods.
• ​ Complete proper shift turnover process that includes communicating with operators from previous and following shifts to review any problems experienced with the machine during one’s shift.
• ​ Performs proper housekeeping at the end of shift or during down times.
• ​ Position may require the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.
• ​ Ability to work overtime as needed or required based on the needs of the business.
• ​ Other duties as assigned.
