The Floor Manager oversees daily dining-room operations, guest experience, service standards, and front-of-house staff.
The role coordinates service activities and collaborates with management to meet operational and business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee front-of-house operations, including greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating table assignments.
- Ensure the dining room is ready, clean, and organized before service, maintaining table settings, décor, and ambiance.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Deliver prompt, courteous, personalized service and resolve guest concerns in a timely manner.
- Lead, coach, train, and provide feedback to front-of-house staff.
- Inspect service areas for cleanliness, organization, and health and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with management, kitchen, and service teams during peak periods, events, and special services.
- Maintain cross-department communication to support efficient operations and guest experience.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven hospitality experience, preferably in Dubai, including expertise in large-scale operations and daily floor management.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, including motivating, coaching, and inspiring staff.
- Ability to collaborate with kitchen, reservations, quality control, and other teams.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, resolve conflicts, and maintain operational efficiency.
