Fleet Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced Fleet Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our fleet function and manage a team of fleet colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fleet professional with strong operational and people management experience who enjoys leading teams, solving problems and driving continuous improvement. What You'll Be Doing Leading and developing a team of fleet professionals, conducting regular one-to-ones and performance reviews to support engagement, development and service excellence. Managing daily fleet operations, including vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability. Coordinating driver activity and ensuring resources are deployed effectively. Supporting employees and drivers with fleet-related queries and escalations. Overseeing fleet claims activity and helping to reduce vehicle damage and associated costs. Supporting fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management initiatives. Managing supplier relationships and monitoring service performance. Producing operational reports and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service and cost performance. Acting as the operational lead for the fleet department in the absence of the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations.

Experience within fleet management, vehicle operations, leasing or the automotive sector.

Previous experience supervising or managing a team.

Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and supplier management.

Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and operational systems.

A proactive and customer-focused approach.

Confidently represent the fleet function through presentations, training sessions and stakeholder briefings, communicating key fleet initiatives, policies and operational updates.

Desirable

Experience managing a corporate fleet.

Knowledge of fleet claims, motor insurance or fleet risk.

Experience with electric vehicles and driver compliance programmes.

Fleet or automotive qualifications.
