Fixed Assets Accountant

About This Role

Molly Jo Collection is seeking a meticulous and detail-driven Fixed Assets Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is essential in ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of fixed assets while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register with complete accuracy and compliance
• Post monthly depreciation entries in line with IFRS and company policies
• Reconcile fixed asset records with the general ledger on a regular basis
• Conduct periodic physical verification of assets and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare detailed fixed asset reports and supporting schedules for management review
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper asset classification and recording

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–6+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting or general accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of IFRS related to fixed assets and depreciation principles
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
