Role Description
The Fitout Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role is responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities for interior fit-out projects, ensuring work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
The Fitout Site Engineer coordinates with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, monitors progress against schedules, and supports the resolution of technical and site-related challenges.
Key tasks include conducting inspections, maintaining site documentation, enforcing safety procedures, and verifying that all works comply with local regulations and company guidelines.
The role also involves regular reporting on project status and collaborating with design and engineering teams to implement practical, cost-effective solutions on site.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills with experience managing interior fit-out or civil construction activities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and coordination skills for liaising with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including the ability to inspect works, identify non-conformities, and ensure standards and specifications are met.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering knowledge or a civil engineering background suitable for interpreting drawings and technical details.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field, with relevant site experience in fit-out or construction projects.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and standard construction practices in the UAE and KSA.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using basic project documentation and reporting tools; experience with AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
