Position is the technical authority on firmware design and coding standards and represents the company with customers, DERs, and certification authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture, design, and implementation for avionics systems using STM32/Cortex-M7, ESP32, and RX72N platforms.
  • Author and review HLR/LLR and maintain bidirectional traceability from system requirements through code and tests.
  • Lead and mentor firmware engineers, set design and coding standards, conduct reviews, and build DO-178C development capability.
  • Develop and review safety-critical embedded C to MISRA C:2012 and apply PC-Lint Plus or equivalent static analysis.
  • Support SOI audits and discuss design, verification evidence, and open findings with customers, DERs, and certification authorities.
  • Own requirements-based tests, conduct MC/DC and structural coverage analysis, and close DO-178C verification findings.
  • Follow SCMP and SQAP; maintain audit-ready firmware baselines, problem reports, and lifecycle data.

  • 8–10 years of embedded firmware development, including at least 2 years leading or mentoring engineers.
  • DO-178C DAL-A lifecycle experience, including PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP, and SQAP artifacts.
  • Experience authoring and reviewing HLR/LLR, supporting SOI audits, and delivering requirements-based verification, MC/DC, and structural coverage on certified programs.
  • Fluent professional English and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Avionics or aerospace background required; equivalent regulated safety-critical experience in defence electronics, automotive functional safety, medical devices, or rail is accepted.
  • Embedded C experience on STM32/Cortex-M7, ESP32, and RX72N using MISRA C:2012 and PC-Lint Plus.

Desirable and valued knowledge

  • Formal DO-178C lifecycle training or certification is desirable.
  • Avionics buses: ARINC 429 BPRZ, ARINC 664 Part 7 AFDX, CAN Aerospace, MIL-STD-1553B Manchester II, and 8.33 kHz radio channel spacing are desirable.
  • DOORS, Polarion, VectorCAST, or equivalent requirements, test, and traceability tools are desirable.
  • Working awareness of ARP4754B, ARP4761A, DO-160, and DO-254 is valued.

Pay and benefits

  • Pay is ₹410,684.64–₹1,789,410.86 per year.
  • Benefits include paid sick time and paid time off.

Work location

  • The role is based at the company's Indore facility and is in person.
  • The position works across Australian, US, Irish, and Indian operations and requires international travel to customer and company sites.
