- Oversee and coordinate fire safety operations, including fire prevention, fire response, and emergency medical services.
- Develop, implement and maintain fire safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of firefighters, paramedics and other emergency personnel.
- Provide training and development opportunities to improve the skills and knowledge of emergency personnel.
- Communicate with other departments, agencies and the public to coordinate fire safety and emergency medical services.
- Develop and manage a budget for fire safety operations, equipment and supplies.
- Investigate fires to determine their cause and make recommendations for fire prevention.
Experience
- Fire fighting: 5 years (Preferred)
