📌 ROLE DETAILS
▸ Position: FinTech Supervision Specialist
▸ Location: Qatar — ONSITE (relocation required)
📌 About The Role
You will be fully embedded within the regulatory authority — conducting on-site examinations of FinTech entities, developing supervisory frameworks for digital financial services, assessing AML/CFT compliance, and contributing to sandbox and innovation oversight.
✅ What You Will Do
▸ Conduct on-site examinations & thematic reviews of FinTech firms, digital banks & PSPs
▸ Apply risk-based supervisory methodology to technology-driven business models
▸ Draft examination reports, regulatory guidance & supervisory consultation papers
▸ Assess AML/CFT frameworks of FinTech entities aligned with FATF recommendations
▸ Evaluate technology risk, cyber risk, vendor risk & operational resilience
▸ Develop regulatory return templates, risk dashboards & automated monitoring tools
▸ Support sandbox design, operation & evaluation of controlled testing environments
▸ Apply FATF, CPMI, FSB, BIS & IOSCO standards to digital finance supervision
🎯 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
▸ 5–10 years of direct FinTech/digital finance regulation or supervision experience
▸ Experience at a central bank, financial regulatory authority, or Big 4 advisory firm serving regulators
▸ Proven ability to conduct on-site examinations of FinTech firms and digital financial institutions
▸ Expertise in AML/CFT within digital finance contexts (FATF-aligned)
▸ Working knowledge of digital payments, open banking, BNPL, crypto/virtual assets & digital banking
▸ Experience drafting supervisory frameworks, regulatory guidance & policy documents
▸ Bilingual: English (professional fluency) + Arabic (minimum conversational)
▸ Must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar for the full duration
⭐ STRONGLY PREFERRED
▸ Hands-on regulatory sandbox design or evaluation experience
▸ Knowledge of SupTech & RegTech tools for regulatory monitoring
▸ Prior exposure to GCC/MENA central banks or financial regulators
▸ Familiarity with FSB FinTech reports, BIS working papers & IOSCO crypto guidance
▸ Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Technology, Economics, or Computer Science
