FinOps Analyst - UAE National
About This Role
We are seeking an FinOps Analyst to drive cloud cost transparency, optimisation, and financial governance across our digital ecosystem. The role provides analysis, insights, and reporting to maximise cloud value, support FinOps maturity, and enable informed decision‑making across engineering, finance, and product teams.
The FinOps Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening Cloud Financial Management by delivering accurate analysis, dashboards, and insights that enhance cost visibility, support optimisation initiatives, and reinforce financial governance. Working closely with cloud engineering, developers, Finance, and Product Owners, the role ensures cloud spend aligns with organisational priorities and generates maximum business value.
This role is central to maturing the FinOps operating model, applying global best practices from the FinOps Foundation, improving tagging compliance, enhancing cost allocation, and enabling better cloud consumption transparency across Azure and Databricks environments.
You will manage day‑to‑day analytics in platforms including Apptio Cloudability and Unravel , ensuring data integrity, monitoring KPIs, identifying cost anomalies, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and contract‑related savings analysis. Your strong analytical and financial skills will help guide cloud cost efficiency decisions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud FinOps & Cost Management
- Manage analytics and reporting in Cloudability and Unravel for Databricks.
- Track cloud KPIs, identify anomalies, and provide actionable optimisation insights.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost efficiency initiatives across Azure and Databricks.
- Improve tagging compliance, cost allocation accuracy, and cloud consumption visibility.
- Apply FinOps best practices to strengthen governance and drive cost accountability.
Product & Data Analysis
- Monitor product performance across the lifecycle, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse complex data sets to extract insights that enhance IT product value.
- Deliver data‑driven recommendations to support product optimisation and business alignment.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations using charts, graphs, and tables.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Work closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and challenges.
- Communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Influence product planning and development through strong analytical storytelling.
- Foster alignment between IT solutions and business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (Master's preferred).
- Atleast 2 years of experience in product analysis, cloud cost management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of IT, cloud technologies, and product lifecycle analytics .
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience working in multicultural environments; English required, Arabic preferred.
- Awareness of the UAE business landscape and organisational culture.
- The successful candidate will be a UAE National.
