Finishing Foreman

About This Role

• Supervision & Coordination: Manage, schedule, and direct daily work for trades like painters, tilers, and joiners.
• Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Inspect workmanship against approved drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality finishing.
• Progress Monitoring: Track site progress and ensure subcontractors complete tasks on schedule.
• Material Management: Order, inspect, and manage materials for finishing tasks.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce safety protocols, conduct site meetings, and maintain a tidy site.
• Snagging & Handover: Identify and rectify defects (snagging) to prepare the site for final handover.
• Communication: Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve on-site issues.

Required Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Finishing Foreman on large-scale commercial/residential projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
• Leadership: Strong ability to supervise, motivate, and direct direct labor and subcontractors.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality, recognizing deficiencies in finishes.
