Overview

Key Responsibilities

• **Installation**
• Install and finish various types of interior fixtures, including trim, moldings, doors, windows, cabinets, and countertops.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials with precision.
• Ensure all installations are level, square, and in alignment with project specifications.
• **Finishing Work**
• Apply stains, paints, and finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring a high-quality appearance.
• Sand, polish, and touch up surfaces to achieve desired aesthetics.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on existing fixtures and finishes as needed.
• **Collaboration and Communication**
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior carpenters and apprentices.
• **Quality Control and Safety**
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
• **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, specifically in finishing work.
• **Skills:**
• Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishing processes.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
