Finishing and Paint Forming Supervisor

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• **Production Management:** Supervise daily blasting, coating, and painting activities to meet production targets.
• **Quality Control (QA/QC):** Inspect surface preparation and paint application for compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and standards (e.g., SSPC, ISO).
• **Team Leadership:** Train, mentor, and assign daily duties to painters and sandblasters to optimize productivity.
• **Material and Equipment Management:** Monitor paint usage, maintain spray equipment, and coordinate with procurement to ensure necessary materials are available.
• **Safety Compliance:** Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, including handling hazardous materials and PPE usage.
• **Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of painting progress, man-hours, and quality inspection reports.

Key Requirements

• **Experience:** Generally requires 5+ years of experience in industrial painting, blasting, or finishing, often within oil & gas, fabrication, or joinery.
• **Technical Skills:** Deep knowledge of paint types (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane), application methods (airless spray, brush, roller), and surface preparation.
• **Leadership:** Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
• **Technical Drawing:** Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
