Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Fine Art Logistics Team role based in Doha.
The team member will coordinate and execute the safe handling, packing, transportation, and installation of fine art and related high-value objects.
Responsibilities include planning and scheduling shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring all regulatory and customs requirements for artwork are met.
The role involves close collaboration with galleries, museums, private collectors, and internal operations teams to manage pick-ups, deliveries, and on-site installations.
The team member will conduct condition checks, oversee packing and crating, maintain accurate inventory records, and support risk management and insurance processes.
The position also requires monitoring shipment tracking systems, addressing issues in real time, and continually supporting improvements in standards, procedures, and client experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Art and Fine Art, with the ability to understand artwork handling requirements and preservation standards.
- Hands-on skills and knowledge related to Painting and other artworks, including awareness of mediums, surfaces, and potential risks during transport.
- Research skills to study best practices in fine art logistics, materials, environmental conditions, and industry regulations.
- Awareness of Animation and related media, with the ability to support logistics for digital and multimedia installations when required.
- Experience or training in fine art logistics, museum/gallery operations, or high-value goods logistics is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and careful adherence to procedures and safety standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, packing, and installing artworks, while following safe handling practices.
- Familiarity with shipment tracking tools, basic inventory systems, and standard office software.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills and prior experience in the Gulf region or international logistics are a plus.
