Financial Statements Specialist (6-Month Engagement)

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalise standalone and consolidated IFRS financial statements, including primary statements and full note disclosures.
• Prepare special purpose and UAE Corporate Tax-compliant financial statements, ensuring alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end financial statements preparation process, from trial balance review through to issuance of final signed accounts.
• Perform detailed analytical review, reasonableness checks, and variance analysis to validate accuracy and completeness of financial statement balances.
• Prepare and maintain audit-ready working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for all material balances and disclosures.
• Prepare consolidation workings, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain inputs required for key disclosures, including related parties, commitments and contingencies, segment reporting, and subsequent events.
• Liaise with external auditors to support audit requirements, respond to queries, and ensure timely closure of audit deliverables and findings.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

• Min. 5 years’ experience with strong hands-on financial statement preparation exposure.
• Background in top-tier audit or a large corporate financial reporting environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP and consolidation system experience preferred.
