Full-time, permanent Financial Services Representative at Vancity’s West End Community Branch, reporting to the Assistant Branch Manager.
The role is a first point of contact for members and combines financial guidance, relationship-building, and sales-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and build trust through attentive interactions.
- Explore needs across everyday banking, borrowing, investments, and protection.
- Guide members to suitable products, solutions, or specialists.
- Show members how to use online tools and digital banking independently.
- Follow through on commitments, provide accurate updates, and coordinate handoffs.
- Follow up to support satisfaction and comply with policies and risk controls.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or another service-oriented role.
- Strong listening, clear communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working toward sales goals and recommending suitable solutions.
- Ability to learn CRM systems and digital banking tools.
- Accurate documentation and compliance awareness.
Additional assets
- Sales success, banking or advisory experience, advanced digital skills, additional languages, and community engagement experience are assets.
Schedule
- Schedules may include weekends; applicants should be available during the branch’s opening hours.
Compensation
- Starting salary is $27.21 per hour; base pay may vary by qualifications, skills, experience, and internal equity.
- Eligible employees may participate in an annual incentive program, subject to program requirements.
