About The Role

Our client is building their finance team from the ground up, and they are looking for a

Financial Reporting & Fp&A Specialist

to join them on this journey.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where you will help define reporting frameworks, support forecasting and budgeting, and provide financial intelligence to leadership, all while working across the full spectrum of Group entities.

You will not just be running reports; you will be helping to design what those reports look like.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
  • Develop and maintain management reports and dashboards for senior leadership
  • Consolidate financial performance data across all Commercial Division and Group contracts
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Work closely with Group Finance, Treasury, and HR to align reporting requirements
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • Read and interpret commercial contracts to ensure financial data aligns with contractual obligations
  • Contribute to process design and documentation as the department is established

Must-Have

  • **3+ years**
  • of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A (more experience is preferred)
  • **Accounting background**
  • – strong foundation in accounting principles and financial statements
  • **Good Excel skills**
  • – comfortable with data analysis, modeling, and forecast preparation (expertise not required, but solid working knowledge is essential)
  • **Commercial awareness**
  • – ability to understand contracts and their financial implications
  • Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders across different functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-To-Have

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Previous experience in a newly established or transformation-focused team
  • Exposure to defence, aerospace, or manufacturing industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are a plus but not mandatory
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or management accounting
