As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager of Independent Foods, will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within INDPT Group.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across our diverse portfolio of restaurant brands.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for leveraging financial insights to support business growth and profitability.

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual operating budgets for Corporate office, Facilities & each restaurant brand, incorporating revenue projections, cost forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of long-range strategic plans and financial models to support business expansion initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Monitor budget variances, analyze performance trends, and provide actionable insights to management to drive financial accountability and performance improvement.

Forecasting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular forecasts and updates to assess the financial implications of changes in market conditions, business strategy, and operational performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales, margin, and expense trends to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives, pricing changes, and new product launches.

Management Reporting & Dashboards

  • Generate comprehensive management reports and dashboards to communicate financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning discussions.
  • Continuously refine reporting processes and data visualization techniques to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of financial information for decision-makers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operational teams, including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Culinary, to align financial objectives with business strategies and performance goals.
  • Partner with Accounting and Treasury departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by senior management,
  • leveraging financial expertise to address critical business challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the restaurant/hospitality industry or a multi-unit retail environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis; advanced Excel skills required, experience with financial planning software a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deliverables.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
