Budgeting and forecasting
- Develop and manage budget timelines to clarify project expectations and meet reporting and approval deadlines.
- Organize data and supporting documents for reviewing financial forecasts and non-financial performance indicators.
- Work with budget stakeholders to align forecasts with organizational initiatives and goals.
- Examine performance indicators, identify outliers, ensure budget files are accurate and complete, and prepare budget report presentations.
- Recommend improvements to management as needed.
Financial planning
- Update, monitor, and audit data supporting the financial planning of assigned projects.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to address financial planning for projects and initiatives.
- Assist staff in developing financial plans and review the effectiveness of standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and distribute budget reports; analyze historical data with departmental staff to support projects and execution plans.
- Investigate inquiries and provide explanations and recommendations.
Financial modeling and analytics
- Use and update financial models for ad hoc and long-term planning.
- Create ad hoc predictive and prescriptive analyses to support leadership decisions.
- Participate in implementation and continuous improvement of modeling and analysis software.
Experience and education
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to four years of experience and/or training in finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related field is preferred.

- Work through problems logically, attempt solutions independently, and think beyond the immediate need.
- Gather and analyze information, prioritize and plan work, and use time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accuracy and thoroughness, work with minimal supervision, and work extended hours as necessary.
- Apply detailed analytical capabilities to financial data.
- Communicate financial information to a general audience using strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
