About the Role

Schedule and Workplace

• This is a full-time onsite role with opportunities in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
• The schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient accounts and update personal, financial, and insurance information.
• Manage billing and coding processes, claim submissions, referrals, authorizations, and predeterminations.
• Verify benefits and eligibility, determine procedure deposits, and submit daily charge entries.
• Review financial history, collect balances, obtain waivers, and explain loan programs.
• Resolve billing issues with the billing team and communicate financial obligations with clinical staff.
• Complete additional administrative tasks and projects as needed.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• One to three years of experience in patient-facing front desk, insurance verification, or customer service work.
• Expertise in financial counseling, billing, coding, and insurance.
• Proficiency with claims, authorizations, and collections.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to discuss financial matters clearly and empathetically.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $22.00 to $26.00, with the final offer based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
