Job purpose

Financial accountabilities

• Develop financial strategies that support business growth and sustainability.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor financial metrics and business performance; analyze variances and recommend ways to improve margins and cost efficiency.
• Provide insights for pricing, investment, and operational decisions; build business cases and conduct scenario modeling.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and optimize allocation of financial resources.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance; coordinate with audit, tax, and legal teams on financial risks.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reports and explain complex data as actionable insights for decision-makers.

• Recruit and develop high performers, address low performance, treat subordinates equally, and ensure delegated authority aligns with company policy.
• Take responsibility for operational deliverables, anticipate problems, and make timely decisions.
• Deliver results on time and to required quality and cost standards; make a tangible difference to the area of operation.
• Translate corporate goals into business plans, execute and monitor plans, take corrective action, and provide progress reports.
• Monitor budgets and expenses for cost efficiency; develop organizational structures and ensure job descriptions are available.
• Develop written systems, policies, and procedures; seek automation and use relevant IT solutions.
• Adapt to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models; promote quality and a safe, secure, legal work environment.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or a relevant field.
• 6–10 years of work experience.
• Technical competencies include accounting best practices, methods, principles, rules and guidelines, systems, and theory.
• Technical competencies also include financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, planning, reporting, financial statement preparation, and mergers and acquisitions.
