It operates coffee roasting facilities in Abu Dhabi and more than 30 “Maison Samira Maatouk” and “Samira Maatouk Originale” outlets, where customers can personalize their coffee blends.
The product portfolio focuses on Arabic, Turkish, espresso, and filter coffees, complemented by gourmet food offerings in branded outlets.
The Group is also the UAE distributor for Fakir coffee machines and is actively led by its owner and Chairperson, Samira Maatouk.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Financial Controller role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements and management reports for the Group and its brands.
Responsibilities
include managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate general ledger entries, supervising month-end and year-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations.
The role will monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
The Financial Controller will coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and banks, develop and improve internal controls and financial policies, and support system enhancements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in
Accounting
and
Finance
- , with experience managing end-to-end accounting cycles and financial operations.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing
Financial Statements
and
Financial Reporting
- for multi-entity or multi-brand organizations.
- Advanced
Analytical Skills
- to interpret financial data, assess performance, and provide clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience in retail, F&B, or FMCG environments is an advantage.
- F&B / Hospitality Industry experience is a must.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
